Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction

Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction

This 8-week program is designed to help you reduce the stress and/or perceived stress in your life by learning to approach each day more mindfully and with attuned awareness. Information is power and without awareness we are simply existing on auto-pilot not living our bliss.

It’s time … ‘living the unaware life is not really living’ – Socrates.

The aim of the program is to increase self-awareness and to reconnect with your body and mind. It will offer new and more effective ways of handling our moods and emotions, focusing on small changes in thoughts, feelings and bodily sensations that are linked to mood fluctuations. It is an opportunity to become more in tune with yourself and to feel more grounded and less reactive in this busy world we live in. Each session will consist of physical body awareness exercises, psycho-education and practical exercises that help you notice your thinking patterns: healthy and unhealthy (e.g. body scan, mindful breathing exercises, thinking styles).

What happens in a Mindful Living session?

Having an individual mindful living session means time with me where I focus entirely on you and how mindfully you are living your life and how mindful are your relationships, collaboratively identifying areas of exploration. My style of working is conversational and results-oriented. Together we will explore the themes and issues that are important to you and impacting your life. The groups will run for a period of 4, 6 or 8 running periodically throughout the year. Suitable for people wanting a shared experience with other people experiencing similar challenges and wanting to inform themselves further with a supportive group.
